10:6 福祉临到义人的头；强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。
10:7 义人的记念被称赞；恶人的名字必朽烂。
6 Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
7 The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
义人(just)—蒙福(blessing)—纪念(memory)
恶人(wicked)—强暴(violence)—朽烂(rot)
10:8 心中智慧的，必受命令；口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。
10:9 行正直路的，步步安稳；走弯曲道的，必致败露。
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
9 He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
智慧—接受神的命令
愚妄—倾倒
走正路—安稳
走斜路—败露
10:10 以眼传神的，使人忧患；口里愚妄的，必致倾倒。
10 He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
以眼传神的意思是心术不正，挤眉弄眼，图谋不轨的人。这句经文是要我们光明磊落，出言谨慎。
10:11 义人的口是生命的泉源；强暴蒙蔽恶人的口。
11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
话语可以似蜜糖安慰人心，也可以似生命的源泉启发人的智慧。相反，话语也可以犹如利箭刺伤人心，引发争端。所以，我们要多看多听，少说。
10:12 恨，能挑启争端；爱，能遮掩一切过错。
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
要多些爱少些恨。
10:13 明哲人嘴里有智慧；无知人背上受刑杖。
13 In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
10:14 智慧人积存知识；愚妄人的口速致败坏。
14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction
