Prayers for my daughter and our teens

Dear God, Please help my teen daughter and other teens stay grounded in their faith, even in the midst of the madness.

help me not to just live with words or tongue but with actions and receive from God anything I ask,

help me to obey your commands and do what pleases you Lord.

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

three practical things we can do to help our teens keep the faith in an increasingly faithless world.

 1. not to control what they see, but control what they see in us teen parents.

Our teens may not always listen to what we say, but they will absorb every detail of our actions.

Am I displaying Christ-like character at home?

Am I treating others with unconditional love and kindness?

Do I rely on God’s Word in times of trouble?

God designed us to shine His light. Our kids will learn most about what it means to be a Christ-follower from watching our example.

 2. Listen, even when I dread what she said.

I want my daughter to feel comfortable coming to me with her deepest thoughts and greatest fears, but I don’t always act like it.

I need to create an atmosphere of trust – a safe place to share burdens. Let me being Godly at home, let God's comforting peace stay with my daughter as she going about her daily life.

pray my home will be a place of praising God and receiving His peace.

Each day, let the Holy Spirit abide in my home. let God's presence provide that safe place for my daughter to speak and strength for me to listen.

 3. Remind my daughter often who God says she is....a loving child of the Creator of the universe.

let God’s alive, powerful, and trueful words to be heard. let her faith comes and revive her hurting hearts and refresh her tired bodies.

pray for not to let busy schedules, games, social media, get in the way of proclaiming God’s goodness to our teens.

Dear Father, thank you for giving me my precious daughter. Thank you for loving her even more than I do. Pray for you to call her out of darkness into your wonderful light.

She is seeing a world of confusion. She is hearing messages condemning her beliefs. Yet Your Word is more powerful than any negativity that comes her way.

Help her keep her faith in You, Lord. Give me wisdom to guide her as she is growing into the mighty women you created her to be.
 In Jesus’ name, Amen.
